Case study 03 · Immersive heritage
The Sewri Fort proposal imagined creative architectural lasers around the heritage structure. Execution transformed that idea into a programmed laser-and-sound show tracing the fort’s form in light.
Project case study
Project name Sewri Fort Laser & Sound Show
Location Sewri Fort, Mumbai
STRULIDE scope Creative concept · Laser-show planning · Integration · On-site execution
Project category Architectural laser · Sound show · Heritage experience
Concept versus execution
The proposal positioned architectural lasers above the fort height to create a protected, high-impact night intervention. The executed show uses controlled laser outlines and dynamic colour to reveal the structure without physically altering its historic surfaces.

Watch the execution
The full site video records the programmed laser treatment moving from precise white outlines into dynamic colour across the fort elevation.
Experience engineering
From proposal to performance
The fort silhouette, approach views, stone surfaces and protection needs shaped the creative lighting direction.
Architectural laser beams, illuminated landscape elements and visitor-facing night experiences were visualised in the proposal.
Laser positions, projection geometry, control cues and sound synchronization translated the concept into a live sequence.
The fort geometry was traced with precision laser lines, programmed colour changes and coordinated audio for the final show.
Project outcome
Create a memorable night experience around a historic fort while avoiding intrusive physical treatments and keeping equipment protected from vandalism.
A laser-led visual language used the fort’s own edges, openings and rooflines as the canvas, combining precise alignment with programmed colour and coordinated sound.
The structure becomes legible, dramatic and performance-ready after dark, demonstrating how immersive technology can activate heritage without permanent visual clutter.
Show progression
Frames from the execution show the fort geometry first defined in white and then animated through synchronized colour scenes.

Public-realm details
Illuminated planters were installed along the heritage steps to provide soft guidance light, greenery and a contemporary layer that remains visually light against the historic stone. A flamingo light-art element reflects Sewri’s wider ecological identity.
CONCEPT
ACTUAL SITEThe proposal’s glowing planter language was adapted into sculptural units positioned rhythmically along the historic access steps.
CONCEPT
ACTUAL SITEThe flamingo concept was translated into a glowing three-dimensional element referencing Sewri’s recognizable natural heritage.
