Design to execution

Four stages.
One visual language.

01

Spatial concept

A rhythmic field of illuminated vertical elements was developed to create a walk-through public experience.

02

Motion visualisation

The concept video established spacing, scale, colour behaviour, sequencing and the intended visitor perception.

03

System execution

Lighting elements, supports, cabling and control equipment were coordinated and installed within the actual garden landscape.

04

Programming & commissioning

Scenes were programmed and tested on site to translate the animated concept into a responsive public-light-art experience.

Project outcome

Designed digitally.
Experienced physically.

01

Design challenge

Create a recognizable light-art experience from repeatable vertical elements while allowing the installation to adapt to a functioning garden and its existing landscape.

02

STRULIDE solution

A modular family of illuminated verticals was arranged as a rhythmic field, then coordinated with site conditions and programmed to create changing colour and movement.

03

Delivered impact

The garden gained an interactive night-time identity that draws movement through the space and converts a digital animation into a real public experience.
